Varkala can aerially only be accessed via Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), where the closest airport is located. Major airlines like Air India, Jet Airways, Spice Jet, Indigo, and Kuwait Airlines operate Trivandrum sector, though Indigo Airlines is the only one that offers a daily direct flight from Delhi to Trivandrum. Barring Hyderabad and Kolkata, the other major cities have daily direct flights to this state capital.
